Pokémon 151 Quiz Campaign - Rules, Terms and Conditions

• The Campaign is scheduled to run from 1 July to 31 December 2026 ("Campaign Period"). This includes the entire period from the announcement of the campaign to the shipping of prizes to winners.

• Quizzes will run for a duration of approximately five (5) months, consisting of twenty-two (22) weekly quiz sets. Each quiz set will consist of seven (7) questions, except week 22 (4 questions). The total number of quizzes will be 151, based on the first 151 Pokémon in the Pokédex.

• Questions will be posted on Saturdays at 07:30 PM Indian Standard Time (“IST”)  starting 4 July 2026 and answers will be announced on the following Fridays at 7:30 PM IST ending 4 December 2026.

• Participants must follow @_pokemonofficialindia Instagram account.

• Weekly Posts: Every Saturday, a quiz post containing seven (7) questions about the first 151 Pokémon will be published on @_pokemonofficialindia Instagram account.

• Submission Window: Entries open at the time of posting and close every Friday at 7:00 PM IST. Comments submitted after the deadline will not be counted. No screenshots of comments or time-stamps will be accepted for manual validation.

• Single Comment Constraint: Participants must submit all seven (7) answers within one (1) single comment on the designated weekly post. Submitting multiple comments or spreading answers across threads will result in disqualification for that week.

• No Edited Comments: Any comment displaying the "Edited" tag on Instagram will be automatically disqualified from that week’s eligibility. Participants are encouraged to verify their answers before posting.

• Language and spellings: All answers must be in English, spelled as shown in the official Pokédex (https://in-hi.portal-pokemon.com/play/pokedex). Answers with spelling errors will be considered incorrect. Participants are encouraged to verify their answers before posting. 

• Public Account Requirement: Participant Instagram accounts must be set to "Public" throughout the Campaign Period (1 July to 31 December 2026) to allow for comment data collection.

• Participants must follow @_pokemonofficialindia Instagram account to be eligible for the winner selection.

• Monthly Prize (20 Winners per Month): At the end of each calendar month, twenty (20) winners will be selected randomly. The drawing pool will consist of all entries with correct answers to all 7 questions for at least 3 weeks that month. The entry pool resets completely at the start of each new month.

• Campaign Prize (5 Winners Total): After all answers have been announced, 5 winners will be randomly selected from all 21 weeks for the Campaign Prize. The drawing pools will consist of all participants from all 5 months.

• Lucky Prize: After all answers have been announced, one (1) winner will be randomly selected from all 21 weeks for the Lucky Prize. The drawing pools will consist of all participants from all 5 months.

• Answers to fact-based quizzes can be verified on the official Pokédex (https://in-hi.portal-pokemon.com/play/pokedex). The decisions made by The Pokémon Company regarding answer validation, spelling variations, and account eligibility are final, binding, and non-negotiable.

• Official Channel: Winners will be contacted exclusively via Direct Message (DM) from the verified @_pokemonofficialindia Instagram account (bearing the blue verification badge). The Pokémon Company will never ask for financial details or credit card numbers.

• Winners will receive a Google Form in the DM to fill out their contact details for transportation of the prizes by a third party.

• Forfeiture Clause: Notified winners must respond and provide valid shipping/claim details within forty-eight (48) hours of the initial DM. Failure to respond within this window results in automatic forfeiture, and an alternate winner will be randomly drawn.

• No Substitution: Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative items.

Before taking part in the “Pokémon 151 Quiz Campaign” (the "Campaign") sponsored by The Pokémon Company (the "Company"), you (the "Participant") shall read these terms and conditions (the "Terms") carefully and take part after agreeing to these Terms. Therefore, if a Participant takes part in the Campaign, it is deemed that the Participant has agreed to these Terms.

1. Preconditions
The Participant shall meet all the following conditions for taking part in the Campaign and receiving the prize of the Campaign (the "Prize"):
(i) Not being an employee of the Company, or a person involved in the Campaign.
(ii) Living in India and being able to receive the Prize.
(iii) Having the Participant’s Instagram account (the "Participant Account") set to Public.
(iv) Take part in the Campaign according to the Campaign Rules.

2. Campaign
The Campaign, its contents and Prize may be terminated or changed at the Company’s sole discretion.

3. Participation
(1) The Company may cancel, invalidate and reject the participation and giving the Prize at its sole discretion if any of the following applies to the Participant:
(i) Editing or deleting the Comment.
(ii) Taking part in the Campaign with multiple Instagram accounts.
(iii) if the Company believes that (a) the Participant Account was created solely for the purpose of taking part in the Campaign, such as taking part in immediately after creating a Participant Account, (b) they violate any of the terms contained herein, or (c) there is any other fraudulent behavior.
(iv) Stopping following the Pokémon Account. 

(2) The Comment shall not contain any of the following:
(i) Damaging the honour or credit of the Company or a third party, or defaming them.
(ii) Infringing any rights of the Company or a third party.
(iii) Violating laws, public order and morals, any terms and conditions of Instagram, or any other behavior considered inappropriate by Instagram.
(iv) Impersonating another user or a third party.
(v) Affiliate marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
(vi) Being considered inappropriate on reasonable grounds by the Company.

(3) The Participant shall be liable or responsible for all communication related to the Campaign.

(4) The Company shall not be liable or responsible for any connection problems to the internet, etc.

(5) The Company shall not respond to inquiries regarding the Campaign and the Prize.

4. Prize
The Prize may not be chosen or exchanged. Winners shall be randomly selected and notified according to Campaign Rules. Each Winner shall be eligible to get only one (1) Prize package.

5. Terms
These Terms may be changed at the Company’s sole discretion. If these Terms are changed, the revised Terms will be applicable immediately.

6. Personal Information
(i) The personal information provided by the Participants (the "Personal Information") will be used for shipping the Prizes.
(ii) The Personal Information may be provided to the Company's outsourcing company involved in work related to the Campaign.
(iii)The Personal Information will be treated in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy.

7. Others

(i) The Campaign is not sponsored or associated with Instagram. Instagram shall not be liable or responsible for any trouble and damage caused by or arising from the Campaign.
(ii) The Company is not responsible for technical malfunctions, network latency, or Instagram server errors that result in late or mislabeled comments.
(iii) The Company shall not be liable or responsible for any trouble and damage caused by or arising from the Campaign.
(iv) The Company shall not be liable or responsible for any trouble and damage related to the Comment. The Participant shall be liable and responsible for such trouble and damage, and resolve such trouble and damage at their own expense and responsibility.
(v) The Company shall not warrant the accuracy, certainty, usefulness, timeliness, functionality, completeness, or suitability for a particular purpose of the Campaign content and information.
(vi) The Company shall bear any expenses required for the shipment of the Prize. However, the Company shall not be responsible if the address provided by the Participant does not exist or is incorrect and the Prize cannot be delivered as a result.
(vii) These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
(viii) All disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and the Campaign shall be finally settled by arbitration, in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association. The place of arbitration shall be Tokyo, Japan. The arbitration proceedings and all documents submitted to the arbitrators shall be in Japanese.
