Pokémon the Movie 2000

STORY

Ash and his friends are on their journey through the Orange Islands—but even this seemingly quiet chain of islands dotted throughout the waters far south of Kanto has its own mysteries, adventures, and Legendary Pokémon! Lawrence III certainly knows it, which is why he's now traveling to the different islands and capturing the three Legendary birds—Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos. But even with all their power, those three are merely a stepping stone to an even greater prize: Lugia, the guardian of the sea!

Of course, Ash is completely unaware of all this when he arrives at his latest destination. The islanders have big plans for him, too, but nothing so sinister—they want him to take part in a ceremony to gather three elemental balls from different islands. When the weather across the world goes out of control, this task takes on a new importance, as the capture of the Legendary birds has thrown the environment out of balance. With Lugia's help, can Ash be the "chosen one" that everyone turns to?

CHARACTER

Lugia

Mythical Pokémon which appears when the world turns catastrophic. Living in the deep sea near Shamouti Island, it is also known as water's great guardian.

Moltres

A special Pokémon known as the god of fire and was first captured by Lawrence III which led to the disruption in the balance of nature.

Zapdos

A special Pokémon known as the god of thunder and invades the fire island to dominate it when Moltres is not around.

Articuno

A special Pokémon known as the god of ice. When Moltres and Zapdos are captured by Lawrence III, it changes the surroundings of Shamouti Island into a sea of ice.

Slowking

It protects the altar of Shamouti Island and is concerned about the catastrophe the world is facing.

Ash

A boy aiming to be a Pokémon Master who embarks on his journey together with his Pikachu.

Pikachu's Rescue Adventure

One day, Pikachu and its friends are walking along when they suddenly fall through a Diglett hole and into Pokémon Valley, a secret location that no one knows about. Pikachu and its buddies tell the Pokémon that they could use some help looking for Togepi, who fell through the hole first. The group sets off and eventually finds Togepi in the Exeggcute nest—but one of the Exeggcute is missing. That leads the group on another hunt; this time, though, Pikachu and its friends come back to the nest empty-handed. That’s when a storm begins to brew, filling Pokémon valley with roaring thunder and gusts of wind that almost blow the friends—and the Exeggcute nest—away! Are the friends going to be able to keep the nest safe and reunite the Exeggcute?
